Vanadinite, Ruby Star Mine, Radium, Burch area, Globe Hills Mining District, Globe-Miami Mining District, Gila County, Arizona, USA
Lustrous, translucent red-orange vanadinite crystals on matrix from a relatively obscure locality in the world-famous Globe-Miami Mining District. A central band of yellow-orange zonation is evident under magnification in some of the crystals. Only four specimens appear in the Mindat photo archives. Two are available as of this posting.
