China recently banned exports to the United States of critical minerals that have widespread military applications, including antimony. One of the most important antimony minerals is Stibnite. This example of presents radiating blades of lustrous, silver-gray stibnite graced by contrasting clear to light tan calcite crystals. Some of the stibnite crystals present textbook terminations, whereas others appear to end in cryptocrystalline points. This is a choice 360-degree specimen, complete all around. The Spanish conquistadors started mining at this ancient locality in 1555.
