The Spanish conquistadors started mining at the San Martin Mine in 1555, and indigenous populations had been mining since antiquity. A choice 360-degree specimen, complete all around, this unique TN reminds me of a comet in its presentation, with lustrous, silver-grey sprays coalescing at a point. Stibnite, very popular amongst collectors, is the primary ore of Antimony, a strategic metal with widespread applications.
