Rosasite on Hematite with Limonite, Graphic Mine, Magdalena Mining District, Socorro County, New Mexico, USA
A richly appointed plate of beautiful, robin's-egg blue rosasite spherules coating an aesthetically contrasting hematite groundmass. The hematite appears as reniform masses with internal zonation. The opposite face presents a slight compositional variation, with white to colorless acicular crystals, possibly aurichalcite, as a secondary growth over rosasite, set against a light orange groundmass. Collected by Kyndall Stallings June 4th, 2024. This specimen is part of the Vality Collection and comes with a Certificate of Authentication.
