Sublime, mm-scale, blue-green to light yellow-orange botryoids of the aluminum phosphate, Planerite, grace a light grey, fine-grained pure quartzite/chert of the Ordovician Bigfork Chert formation. Planerite is a rare member of the Turquoise Group. Multihued specimens are comparatively uncommon.
