Mimetite with Wulfenite, Rowley Mine, Maricopa County, AZ
From the world-class Rowley Mine in Arizona, a locality normally known for superb wulfenite, comes this exquisite chromatic masterpiece of lustrous, grenadine-red hexagonal mimetite crystals paired with Sunkist-orange windowpane wulfenite. Both species present that gemmy "wet look" with intense, rich, vibrant color saturation and water-clear transparency. Minor clipping is evident upon close examination. This piece, along with a vanishingly few others, was extracted from a pocket mined in 2024. Comes with a certificate of authenticity from the original collectors, Frank and Kyndall Stallings.
