The Lukini Mine, now long closed, is recognized as the source of some spectacular secondary copper specimens. Only 25 pieces are posted in the public archives of Mindat, of which one is stalachtitic malachite. This classic specimen features two Brunswick-green stalactites that have grown together over eons of diagenesis. The specimen exhibits a sparkling velvety luster, making for an attractive display piece from this lesser-known locality.
