Cuprite on Chrysocolla, Mashamba West Mine, Katanga, DRC
Three sharp cuprite crystals nestled in a bed of turquoise-blue, botryoidal chrysocolla, from the premier locality in Congo. Two of the crystals present unusual remnant casts. Sharp edge work all around, with minor bird-nips visible only under magnification. A fine acquisition for the consummate cuprite and/or DRC collector, these are becoming difficult to find in such pristine condition.
