Cerussite with Barite, Les Dalles Mine, Mibladen mining district, Midelt Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
Well-formed, translucent to transparent, light grey to colorless cerussite crystals. The prism faces present intriguing surface patterns. The cerussite and dark groundmass are nicely accented by pinkish, bladed barite crystals. Fluoresces bright yellow under UV light. I place the typewritten label circa mid 1970s. From a 40 year old collection.
