Carrollite, Kamoya Sud (South) II Mine, Kamoya, Haut-Katanga, DRC
Mirror-bright carrollite crystals flash in the light, amplified by gorgeous striations and nestled aesthetically within stepped rhombohedra of calcite. The piece is self-standing and displays beautifully. The crystal area measures 25 x 10 mm with a textbook habit. Carrollite is an uncommon copper, cobalt, nickel sulfide, with the very finest of the species coming from the DRC, notably the Kamboya Sud II Mine.
