A nearly perfect, spheroidal concretion of royal blue, lustrous, transparent azurite with subordinate malachite, cementing fine-grained quartz and a dark brown mineral. This is a floater of mixed sedimentary and geochemical diagenesis. The color association is striking and suggestive of our little blue marble, planet Earth.
